1. Wet sand each headlight with 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This step is where the oxidization is removed.

2. Wet sand each headlight with 1,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. As we move up the process, we remove less oxidization. The focus now is to refine the sanding marks left behind by the 800 grit.

3. Wet sand each headlight with 1,500 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This will help refine the scratches left behind by the 1,000 grit sandpaper. Here is where you can start to see the clarity begin to come through.

4. Wet sand each headlight with 2,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This will help refine the scratches left behind by the 1,500 sandpaper.

5. Wet sand each headlight with 3,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This is the final sanding stage. 

6. Compound the headlights using a cutting disc, compound, and machine polisher. This stage cleans up and removes the haziness left behind from the sandpaper.

7. Polish the headlights. This is the final stage prior to adding protection to each lens. Now we bring out maximum clarity with a light polish and polishing pad.

8. Protect the headlights. For protection, we'll apply a 1-year ceramic coating to each headlight. This will provide durable protection.

By sanding the headlights, we’re removing the old layer of clear coat that has failed and oxidized, which is what gives them the hazed yellow look. After the compound and polish stage, we bring them back to a like-new condition and apply a 1-year ceramic coating for protection.
